Summer has finally arrived, and we have started the release of our 2016 white wines (the first of three).
We begin with a new addition to our line-up, the inaugural release of our Proprietary White Blend. A unique blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Chardonnay, the top white varietals grown in Washington State. Shannon has been working on a new white wine for several years, and we're super excited that we finally get to release this vintage.
As with all of the Hestia white wines, there is great acidity at the core of this blend. The Sauvignon Blanc contributes enticing herbaceous notes, which are followed by beautiful stone fruit aromatics (think fresh apricot and peach) from the Riesling. There is a bit of chardonnay, which adds a touch of viscosity to balance out on the finish.
This is a fun wine to enjoy all year long, but I don't think there will be any left once summer is over. A great wine for all of your outdoor meals, especially fresh garden vegetables, shellfish, and chicken. This has already become our favorite white wine of the year, and we know you'll enjoy it as well. We look forward to sharing this wine with you.
